YSL Limited Edition Coin Purse

This fun coin purse or what I call a clutch pouch is what everyone needs when using their favorite clutch. I talked about the floating cards and bills in clutches yesterday and this is the perfect solution for that. I used to use a card holder for my cards, but what about the money? You put it in the zip pocket (if there is one) but it still has a good chance of falling out. And is not the most organized. This pouch does not have card slots, it is like an envelope but it is big enough for all your cards and a pretty good size wad of cash (plus it holds coins which causes problems in a clutch). It makes using your clutch a totally streamlined operation. These come plain without the YSL Paris flagship address but I just find it so kitchy and cute because it is shaped like an envelope. It is $195 and comes in anthracite (which I got), black and metallic gold. There is a larger size but it will be too big for traditional size clutches (those are $245). This is only available this season and they are selling out fast so if you want one call Fatima at YSL Rodeo Dr. 310-271-4110.

  • Actually quite cute. But I already have an YSL wallet and I don´t need more.

  • Kelly

This looks fabulous what are the different dimmensions of both!!! Do you think the silver is better than the Black?!

  • Very smart!

  • I have to say, I might actually pick this one up! It's in my price range, it's kitschy, and it's YSL! I didn't want to like it when I first saw it, because it seemed a little too trendy and fleeting, but it's not fleeting, as there will always be envelopes! Love it.

  • Hi Lottie,

The dimension of the one I have is 6"W x 4.5" H. I don't have the other one so I can't measure it, but it is a lot bigger. I will call my girl at YSL to measure it for me. I just came back from Las Vegas for a movie premier and this was the best little companion with my clutch. I put cards, bills, room key and even casino chips in there, without the fear of anything getting lost. I love it! For the price, this is something that everyone can benefit from.

    Love, Kelly

  • Hi Kelly, I have the same one u do!!! =)
    I love it!!!

  • I'm a bit confused because of the prices you are providing! I recently saw a wallet by YSL in this style priced at $495, advertised in Nylon, but you are saying that the clutch-sized version is only $245? And the coin purse $195?

Perhaps that's because the one I saw in Nylon was black patent leather (and that somehow justifies upping the price by $200+)? I'd much prefer it in patent leather, but I suppose they don't make the coin purse or clutch in that. :\

  • Wow this purse looks very heavily ‘inspired’ by Anya Hindmarch. Anya has offered an amazing service for years where you can have an address in your own handwriting embossed onto a wallet or passport case.

  • I just called the shop. They have the silver and gold ones in stock, but are still waiting for the black to arrive. This is the smaller size -- I didn't ask about the bigger one.

The black wallets just arrived though, if you're interested :)
