To put it politely, this is not the most attractive bag I have ever seen from Louis Vuitton. It is personally designed by Marc Jacobs (you mean none of his 20+ design assistants helped?) who wanted to pay tribute to the classic Louis Vuitton steamer trunks with an added bonus- a belt that you can let your daughter wear with her Juicy jeans! Seriously now, what is with adding bells and whistles to bags for the sake of nothing? I understand the historical aspect of this tribute but how about making a modern day Louis Vuitton trunk or at least a cute bag? Agree with you Tina, but I actually like the clutch that in the this line!
The colour looks updated and surprisingly fresh - as in the trimming and leather panels. The trunk stripes colour looks good with the brown monogram - but it stops there.
What is with the millions of rivets and crap? And that belt! Enough with the monster of this louis vuitton. And actually, the brown monogram looks like it's on canvas, not that crinkly leather they like to use with the awful monogram stamped on it.
I did see Rodger Federer's wife had the larger GM with red stripes on her lap at the Dubai Tennis Championship last week.

It's not the cutest bag, but it's on the right track. I feel like if Marc keeps going in this direction, he could, maybe, possibly, create a cute bag. (?) I agree with Valentina completely though about the clutch from this same line. This one? It's closer to what an LV bag should be, but it's not really there yet.
It's pretty unattractive to be polite. The colors do absolutely nothing for me or my wardrobe.

I personally like this bag! Yes I thought it was a bit wierd at first.. but now I think it's kind of cool. I love all the rivets and detailing, it's classic LV.

The design of the Louis Vuitton Handbag is remarkable, as is the price. I love the appearance and sharp quality of this handbag.

It looks like someone got half way into framing a monogrammed piece of leather and stopped. They also happened to have used an unfortunate cream coloured matting.

If someone had never heard of, or know about, the LV brand, they would think this bag was a hand-me-down reject, only to be used on the beach, as a beach bag for wet towels, shoes, etc. Ok, maybe this is little harsh, but this bag is not visually appealing at all - and at over $2000?? I think I rather blow that dough on something else! One more thought, if MJ strategically threw some colored paint or mud on the bag, then it would actually add charm/character. :-)
