Fendi Giant Baguette Clutch

OK, here is a Fendi clutch you can stomach and actually love. See how we do not play favorites with designer? Fendi has reinvented their classic baguette by making it into a uber trendy giant clutch. Totally brilliant! They did everything you could possibly imagine with the old baguette and honestly, who isn't tired of it already? I mean, it's been a decade since it was most hip and as classic as it is, the change is a welcome minty breath of fresh air. No need to reiterate but I am not a patchwork fan so it is quite shocking that I find this multi color patch clutch a delight! I love the colors, it is unofficially called the Rainbow Pastel Baguette which is so fitting because the colors remind me of rainbow sherbet and it is just as sweet and yummy! The soft leather scrunches as you hold it near and dear which gives it life and character. I am totally getting one of these, they come in various colors and are $1950. They will be available at Net a Porter as well as Fendi boutiques in March (so any day now!).

  • it does come across as quite delicate and light even though I imagine it must weight a bit.
It's pleasant but I am not going to buy it since I am not a Fendi fan (well Fendi's handbags fan anyway, I do wear they sunglasses)
and I am too conservative to carry it. I would wear Lauren Merkin or something similarly modest instead.

  • The colors are interesting, I would like to know what Tina thinks of it.....

  • I LOVE LOVE LOVE this bag!!! I have seen it in Vogue every month and just think it is beautiful.

  • The colors are cute but I just can't bring myself to like the oversized clutch. I dont get it, for me I just don't like the idea of having to carry something so cumbersome around.

  • Hi All! This clutch is a fun and chic way to wear the season's trends! It's not destined for my Bag collection nor my Hall of Fame but still, very cute!

And I love oversized clutches, they hold a lot and are so lightweight! Easy to grab and go.

    xoxo

  • I really love this bag ! And I am not a fendi lover , i only have 2 Fendi items in my whole collection.

  • What really makes this bag are the colors. Exquisite! I love a big clutch; it can really bring an outfit into some fun proportions. Fendi can be hit or miss. When it hits, and it has with his one, it is really a celebration. I'm with you Kelly when it comes to patchwork, but these colors (almost nostalgic?) really help make this bag lust-worthy.

  • Am I the only one who thinks this thing looks like an elaborate pillow?

I mean I love oversized clutches as much as anyone else but this thing looks so floppy... I just want to lay my head on it, not carry it around.

  • I love oversized clutches. Tina- what should I get? the doheny from Oscar or this one?

  • Yuck! Don't like it at all.

  • Not bad for a Fendi. What are the other color options?

  • exactly! the boxy, floppy shape makes it look like the model is lugging her pillow around to go to bed. the colors are pretty though...but maybe in a toddler's room kind of way

  • I have to agree with maic -- I like the colors but I think it would be hard to appear elegant or stylish lugging such a floppy clutch around. The woman in the photo looks like she's working way too hard to carry it.

  • i like the slouchy look and i love big bags... not sure for a clutch... it looks yummy thoooo

  • I am desperate to get this bag. Net a porter say its sold out before it arrives, help me!!
