I can't seem to get enough of the color blue lately (or python for that matter!). I found myself mesmerized by the Lanvin Odette bag in blue python and then looked down at the two bags next to my desk that I've been using all weekend- a blue birkin and the new blue Oscar crocodile Alden. Uh, clearly I am overdosing on this fabulous shade but can you blame me? Blue is my black during the summer, it goes with everything and brings excitement even if I wear the dullest summer uniform of t shirt and jeans. Like I said last week, I am lusting for all the Lanvin bags this season but this is probably my favorite! The Odette has a unique clasp that slides to the left to open that reminded me of the doors on Deloreans- I know, such a minute detail but so important to people like me! There are two small studs in front and bottom of bag with a flat frame on top (so it won't droop!) that bring an urban feel to the classic chain bag shape, other than that, the bag is pure luscious python. $3,095 at Barneys New York- call Greg 469.221.4700

i love this bag. I might have possibly pulled the trigger on this one if I would have seen it. I opted for the Lanvin Cabas Leather Large Shopper. I fell in love with it. Now I just have to figure one or 5 outfits to go with it.

Mesmerizing is the EXACT word for this bag. Do you remember like five years ago, Prada was doing bags this size in mint python with plastic jewels. This is so much cuter. :) I love it!

I love the look of this clutch as well as the color but for that price tag I would rather opt for the B. Romanek Rockstar Crocodile Clutch in midnight blue. It's just me :-).

I love python skin too. I've got a gold python skin clutch by Michael Kors but I can't find any pictures of it online at all. It came out 2-3 months ago. It's really roomy and has two big gold clasps at the sides. It comes in bright pink, orange and green as well. There are matching totes too which are HUGE!

I am obsessed with blue bags this spring/summer as well. I am waiting for my blue Muse 2 and for the Birkin in blue jean. What do you think of the Hermes Evelyn bag in blue jean? I need something casual for the summer. I will be travelling a lot with 2 little kids need a beautiful summer bag that's not too big and can be worn across the body (not my preferred look, but sometimes it's inevitable with a 2.5 yo and 7mo)

since you ordered the birkin in blue jean, I suggest getting the Evelyn in another shade of blue like Turquoise which is amazing! I got Kelly the turquoise birkin last summer and wish I hoarded it for myself but it was her first so I let her have it.
The Hermes Turquoise is a true shade, literally the same color as the turquoise on my Van Cleef Alhambra necklace (which you must buy as well!). You will love it(the bag AND the necklace)!!!
