Happy Leap Year! To celebrate, here is a bag that is out of the norm. This Maison Martin Margiela bag is indicative of their aesthetic, it is out there and unstructured. I'm all for interesting and unique styles but when it comes to bags, it still needs to function like one. The look and feel of this bag is so modern and romantic, it looks amazing on the body since it is totally soft so it contours. The handle is woven leather which is a great contract. This bright sunny yellow is fab and it comes in gray which is also amazing. But .... the satin is slippery and floppy so when you try to go in the bag to look for something, it's like you are wrapped up in your drapes. There is a really big and heavy hardware clasp that holds the top of the bag together but it is way too heavy and just gets in the way as you dig and dig. In concept, it is cool but bags do afterall serve a function and this it does not. $745 at eluxury. There are those that love what they love and throw caution and practicality to the wind so we'd like you to weigh in on this one.

I like the deconstructed look of this bag. It's interesting and edgy.
It's a gorgeous bag, I was expecting it to just be free flowing rather than having a heavy clasp. I'll take your word for it about it getting pretty hard to find your stuff in it. it's gorgeous though...great for spring and great to go from day to night!
I can see someone cool like Kate Hudson wearing it with a long flowery dress, bangles and sandals. I would use it as a beach bag to carry sun lotion and beach towel.
looks like something you would sew from a vogue or butterick pattern.
Looks like that "how to tie a bandana into a tote bag" that I saw on Martha Stewart's website a while back. No matter how "creatively" you drape and knot, it still looks like a bandana!
