High end jewelry brands (think Cartier, Chopard, Bvlgari etc) are jumping on the "it" bag bandwagon but we are wondering if the results will glitter as brightly as its jewels. Here are a few of the upcoming Spring bags from luxury jewelry brands. Tell me, what do you think? If given the choice of YSL or a Chopard bag what would you choose?

Definately the YSL, but I'm very into YSL at the moment. I haven't seen any bags from the high end jewelry brands yet that I consider really fab.

The Asprey´s bag is cute in a girlish,innocent way.
There are elements that I like on each of the bags. I like the Asprey's color and fabrication, but not really the body. I think the Bvulgari's handle and clasp detail are pretty, and it's my favorite of the ones pictured.
I think nine times out of ten these things turn out to be a disaster. Jimmy Choo has done a good job (for the most part) of transitioning from shoes to bags, but I haven't been impressed by any of the Louboutin bags and Blahnik bags are just best left unsaid, if you can even find one. The transition from jewelry to bags has to be ten times more challenging, and I haven't been dying to get anything I've seen.

I quite like the Asprey bag, but I would still purchase an YSL or Chanel bag over it.
I like the colour and the clasp on the Asprey, but give me YSL any day!
Definitely YSL. The Chopard clutch with an attached gold bangle looks like a toiletry bag.
I don't mind the Bvlgari or the Chopard bags but for the kind of money I think they will charge, I'd rather have a YSL or chanel.
I do agree that most of the jeweler bags are a total disaster, a pathetic pursuit of any possible profit. The chopard bag look like a baby phat/guess bag....beurk
On the other hand, I believe it's important to clarify that Asprey has been making lifestyle products for a long time, they are making desirable and classic products fit for an aristocratic family: bags, umbrella, polo gear, rare copy of notorious books,luggage etc. You should all get to know them better. We owe them lot of respect and in a kind of way we can easily say that they are the british Hermès.

the only bag from a high end jewler to catch my attention somewhat has been the cartier. I still would not buy it though.
