Mock croc is not the most ideal thing for me but in certain circumstances it can be fabulous, like this Miu Miu tea green patent bowler. This color is so delicate and beautiful and absolutely dreamy. It is almost mint without being too bright but the patent gives it the glow and glamour one needs. This is a small bowling bag so it is lady luncheon appropriate. Go casual or with a day dress, you can wear this with so many colors to look fresh for Spring. I would definitely wear this without the shoulder strap, I never like shoulder strap on bags with handles, there's way too much going on. Miu Miu is a lower priced line so it doesn't fit their market to do real croc so this is a great way to get the look without the price tag. They did a bunch of ostrich for fall in great colors but I didn't like that boxy briefcase shape. Even on sale now those don't at all tempt me (well, the prices did make me stop to try on but in the end it was an unambiguous NO! Tina saw me trying it on from across Barneys and started screaming at me. There was this wristlet in sage green ostrich (also in pink!) that I thought would be good for running around doing errands but it looked like a shaving kit). We had fun shopping sales but I'm done now and just want to see all the new Spring merchandise already!!! This Miu Miu mock croc bowling bag at Net a Porter for $1195.

I guess this bag would be ok for a young lady, but would look silly on the older generation. Maybe the price could be lower and then more reachable.
what happened to the chanel you promised us last week!?!can't wait
mock croc...ew...but the tea green is so fresh for spring/summer. yeah, what was the deal with those briefcase-esque ostrich bags? even the grey one on sale couldn't sway me! speaking of sales, today's at gucci was an EVENT!

cute!
I like it. I just wish I could afford it. Sniff, sniff.
I always welcome mock croc as an alternative to the real thing and I don't think of it as inferior - quite the reverse, actually, as it is a by-product of the meat industry. But, as far as this bag's quality and design is concerned, I think it's OK; nothing at all to write home about, in my opinion. I also think that the colour is a bit insipid, to be honest.
I have a beautiful black Prada Mock Croc Pochette (clutch), from a few years ago and I have to say, having looked at the detail pic of this bag, that my Prada's stamping is far less square and uniform-looking and far more refined, natural and convincing.
Goes to show that, when it comes to Mock Croc, it pays to buy the best you can afford; which, if one is buying it as an alternative to the real thing, one can, presumably, afford to do.
