Fur bags are supposed to be “precious” and special, not some lame and plain hobo. I hate this shape for any bag and it is a ridiculous waste for a fur, although I am not sure what kind of fur this is, the leopard is printed and the price makes me want to say it is rabbit or the likes. And what about the leather corners? How disgusting is that? Fur is supposed to lush but here it is cut off unexpectedly in the corners and the fur just tufts over looking unfinished. It also makes the bag look like a headless stuffed animal. Wouldn’t it be cuter or at least more congruous to just let the fur carry throughout? And for some reason this leopard print is really scary and scraggly – like an abandoned dirty animal, not soft and luxurious like something you want to own. I don’t even want to get into the whole discussion about the use of fur here because on this bag it is a moot point, this bag is ugly and no one is going to buy it. Too bad the animal already died for this, maybe they can remake it into a vest for Fred and Barney (because Wilma and Betty certainly won’t want anything to do with it). Neiman Marcus is doing their annual private sale today and I bet this will be on sale. Select styles from Gucci, Fendi, Chloe, Ferragamo and other designers not doing so well lately are 30% off (although I have seen a lot of Ferragamo Celtico bags around and they are not bad). Stop by Neimans or call your favorite sales associate for the details but it starts tonight. This fur is at Bergdorf Goodman for $2995.
The sight of this-whatever it is-makes me really quiet. Can´t imagine why anyone would take part in `making´,note I didn´t say designing, something as horrible as this. Shame on Gucci!
