Devi Kroell Ostrich Shopper

I have been obsessed with Devi Kroell since we gave away the Devi Korell ostrich bag last year. Since then, Devi has been recognized with multiple awards from CFDA and expanded her incredible line. Currently my must have is the ostrich shopper; available in turquoise, black or beige, it is a stylish and functional bag with multiple uses. I go through phases of favoring categories in my bag collection and lately I am all about my totes. And what could be more perfect than a great tote bag in sumptuous ostrich? It also converts from top handle or shoulder strap seamlessly, this function is nothing new in bags but it is the way Devi designs her buckles and hardware that makes it so unique. She lends an element of modern classic in all of her bags and this one is no exception. It is 13″ x 15″ so it will fit a laptop (which is so important to us! I know Kelly is drooling right now and figuring when her next bag allowance is!), change of clothes for travel, and will convert from work to play effortlessly. If the ostrich version is a bit steep for your pocket book at $4490, the leather version with anaconda trim in beige, brown and black are just as fabulous at $1590. At Devi Kroell.com

  1. Actually not so bad. But why do we need a shopper bag? If I go out and buy something, I don´t mind carrying it in the shop´s own bag if it won´t fit in my large tote. But I understand the need of a neat extra bag ,if the one you have at the moment is very small. It might also be embarrasing for someone, who just pops to a cheap mall and has to carry a hideous plastic bag all day long. I have a folded Lonchamps always along, just in case. This bag is very practical to keep along-doesn´t weigh much and I can slip my lizard bag inside it in case the weather gets bad. And it is so much cheaper. BTW, I´m not so sure I like the ostrich leather so much, although it looks so much better than the leather ones.

  2. DROOL

these are beautiful!! that beige ostrich is classic and gorgeous but the turquoise is hot!

mette, shoppers are a better option than plastic or paper shopping bags provided by stores because it reduces waste and consumption.

    cute

  5. These are super cute. Mette and Anonymous, let’s just hope that people don’t start buying multiple shoppers because then that kind of defeats the purpose.

These look like they’ll last awhile.

  6. I use my shopper bag to stuff my purchases into if they are small enough. I can get several t-shirts, jewelery, a pair of pants in there at one time. That way I don’t have to lug around several small bags and it keeps my hands free to browse through the racks.

This is very nice. I particularly like the one in brown.

  7. the turquoise is tdf!

  8. These bags are fab! You have been coming up with great tote choices lately. First that Lanvin and now these. Well done! Now if I can just convince my husband I need one of these… that ostrich will last forever. I agree with smarter fashion.

  9. smarter fashion and anonymuos: Seems to me you both didn´t read at all what I wrote. Most of the shops, where I shop, use packing materials. When I buy food I won´t stuff it with my newly bought clothes. If I get a nice paper bag I´ll surely reuse it. The point is that I find it silly to buy an extra bag,an expensive bag just for the daily shopping. Longchamps is perfectly ok for that purpose. Any other light bag would be ok too. Seems to me that further discussion about this subject from my part is a waste of time!

  10. Appealing bags, and I do find myself preferring north-south tote shapes to east-west. The leather versions look luscious and thick, and the turquoise ostrich is a dreamy colour.

I only wish that instead of adding a separate shoulder strap, the handles would have been extended a few inches so they could function for hands as well as shoulders. I don’t like the cluttered look of extra straps that are not in use, even if they express pleasingness of design, as these do. Unfortunately, they add visual and physical bulk to the bag that make it a “pass” for me despite the bag’s other merits and charms.

  11. I am loving the ostrich beige!!

I had never owned ostrich leather before this bag. Its super comfy and molds to your body. The bag itself is spacious enough for me to fit everything i like to carry with me. its my everythingggg bag. As much as i love my ostrich, i’m leaning towards antoher purchase of the leather version in dark brown to have a bag i can just throw around anywhere. Either way, both are gorgeous and i can never have too many!
