Chloe Beata Patent

chloebeata.jpg

Chloe has been the target of our foul moods lately but how can you feel sorry for them when bags like this keep showing up? We are even getting emails from people persuading us to rip on some of Chloe’s undesirables. This Beata bag reminds me of that box the army carries around to put their super walkie talkie phones in. I should have done this for Veteran’s Day, it would have been fitting. I don’t even know where to start with this bag, the shape is like I said, a box and that giant tab is odd and distracting. Distressed patent is always a bad thing but this looks like it just rolled out of bed after sleeping in the dryer. It makes the seams look all puckered, which I’m sure they’re not because at least we can still believe their quality hasn’t suffered, just their designs. I hate this bag so much, it really angers me that something like this can be passed off as “luxury designer” goods as if went through some sort of rigorous design process. Puuuuuulease!! Stay away from Chloe girls, even if they have some acceptable bags, stuff like this drags their whole line down. At Net a Porter for $1740.

  1. Kelly I agree with you on this one. There are so many designers who in the past made fine bags but now come out with crap. All those celeb. names, which I won´t list out ´cause we all know the names. Only a handful of worthy designers seem to have survived and are still creating beautiful handbags, belts, etc.

  2. literally heinous..

I have seen better bags at Target. For 10 dollars

  4. I worship at the altar of Philo…we need her back. I know that Chloe is supposed to be going “in a new direction” but I dont like most of the accessories that I have seen thus far. Heres hoping that things turn around.

  5. You are so right — even if you like 1 Chloe bag, be cautious because the other hideous bags will drag the name down.

For example: Coach has some decent plain leather bags but those C Patchwork monstrocities just dig the brand down 6ft in my book.

  6. chloe bags havent been that great but their shoes are still pretty cute. i love the prince boots.

  7. Oh my….and word on the street (my street, Park Avenue) is that Bergdorf may no longer be carrying Chloe bags…good, maybe they can use the shelves to the left of the Choo’s for either more Choo’s or put the YSL’s there where they belong rather in the ‘glove, belt & scarf’ department on One.

  8. Kelly- you have outdone yourself! This is fugly!!! What in the world have they done to Chloe?

  9. Some of their smaller eveing bags are still cute. This however, is a most unattractive bag.

  10. I am very unhappy that this hideous bag had my first name attached to it. Sigh….

Kelly, that which angers you, just plain hurts my feelings. I guess it’s bringing up all those awful memories of putting things in the dryer that I shouldn’t have!

Send It My Way.. I will flaunt It! I think This Bag Is Just my size. I like over sized bags to carry. I can never get my things in those teeny tiny bags. Looks great to me. Classy!

  14. hmmm, i have the full size in black patent of this and i love it.

  15. I agree with you, Cynthia. I have this in black too, and i love it more each day. It’s got a punky edge to it.
