Ralph Lauren: The Puffy Ricky Bag

The Puffy Ricky 32cm $14,000

The Ricky from Ralph Lauren has a brand new sibling, the Puffy Ricky Bag! It has all the gorgeous detailing as the Ricky without the fuss of the straps and square shape (which some may still prefer but I like the feminine shape of the Puffy!). The crocodile skin on Ralph Lauren bags are supple and soft, truly the cream of the gator crop. My favorite shade is this chocolate version above but the purple is also amazing! I almost brought one of these babies home but after my New York shopping splurge over Fashion Week I was afraid my husband may finally lose it (he's been incredibly understanding of my "retail therapy" so I really don't want to take advantage you know what I mean?). The pleating on the bag is meticulously finished and hand stitched, a real beauty! You will also love the price, a mere $14,000 for the 32cm and $10,000 for the 28cm. Now you know Coach is pushing their crocodile bag for $12,000, if you had this kind of money to invest in a beautifully handcrafted exotic skin bag, would you choose Ralph Lauren (synonymous with tasteful American classics) or Coach? You decide. Call Dana 214-522-5270 at Ralph Lauren for more details, colors (there is an olive shade that is out of this world!) or to purchase.

  • This is gorgeous! You are right, it is more feminine and looks more functional.

  • Indeed, this is a fine bag.Unlike the Zagliani croc bag,the handles in this one are nicely a part of the bag.The colors are great too,I bet the olive one is worth considering, but I guess the brown would be my final choice too.And the price is very reasonable for a real croc bag of the size of this one.

  • I think its nice but no where near as nice as the classic ricky style (fussy straps and all) I am not fortunate enough to be able to indulge in the exotic ricky, therefore I made due with the black leather ricky.

  • Have you guys lost your minds? I love a piece of buttery, supple leather as much as the next girl but $14,000 for a bag is totally crazy.

  • Mmmm this is pretty... unfortunately I do not have 10,000 dollars to spare (must pay for my education so that one day I WILL have 10,000 dollars to spare), does this come in leather, or any more affordable materials because I'm completly in love with the design.

  • Ricky from Ralph Lauren, $14,000 for this bag.. Times have changed!Thats what I paid for my first house. I'd hate to carry it for sake I would damage it. Nice bag,but To rich for my buying..

  • loving this its so classic

  • Yes, you can get this in calfskin. Go on the Polo.com website and look for the "rusched" Ricky. (Did I spell that right?) Pretty. There is also a leather Ricky with a quilted exterior that is pretty nice, and a little different this year. Both are in the $3000 range. Still a bit high, but less than 14k...

  • Ugh, I detest Coach. I'd much rather have a RL if I had to chose between the two. But I'd really like a Birkin! Wishful thinking.
