I’ve been feeling quite a lot of love towards the newly sober and clean cut MJ this season but the Paloma bag (a tribute to Paloma Picasso?) is just not doing it for me. I get the whole ’80s color block and Picasso cubism inference but I don’t get why it is on such a sloppy looking bag. The stones are definitely interesting if not heavy and would have been a beautiful note on a sleek modern bag. There is just too much going on here, the adjustable shoulder strap with the large grommet studs are totally unnecessary as the bag is probably so heavy you will need two hands to carry it, the multiple pleating on the bag detracts away from the unique disk and stone feature and add the jumbo sized jump rings (probably so the strap doesn’t break from the weight of the stones) and you have a very confused bag. I disagree – I think it’s an absolutely unique and cool bag in a sea of sameness out there. I recently got the MJ little Edie – which is the black leather version, which I admit is probably the best style of the semiprecious stone MJ bags. It’s gotten quite a number of compliments, and I can’t say enough about its versatility and design. Also, I for one, am very sick of the same old same slouchy, huge leather bag trend (talk about heavy and sloppy!)
this would be great on a simple Pochette bag with no other frills. it looks too busy on this bag

I don’t care what you guys say, this is an ugly bag no matter how you look at it!
I didn’t give it a second thought, that is, until I saw it at Brown’s Fashion in blue. I like it in blue.
There is also another word to describe this-whatever it is:Horrible! I don´t like the shape, the color is awful and what are the things stuck on the side? M.Jacobs did it again.
hmmm the front part looks like a.. credit card swiping thingy.
(just my thoughts!). a wee bit to 80s for me.
I don’t care what you guys say, MJ has produced yet another unique piece that, as Kayo said, stands out. If you wanna get something more boring, ahem, subdued then do so by all means but if you wanna get something truly different and stunning in design and craftsmanship get this bag! I love it in every single colour, especially the cream version.
Please check out my work!
