If it seems I am obsessed with Sang A bags, it is because I am! Sang is a lovely woman with an uncanny eye for detail and design, I met her last week at a party and went to visit her showroom yesterday where I was tempted by so many amazing bags that Kelly had to keep me in check via the phone from LA. I ended up buying two bags that will bring you Bag Snobbers to tears. First is the extraordinary River tote in Serpentine Ostrich. I fell in love with it immediately and transferred my things from my birkin so that I could walk out with it! Sang uses only the best quality skins; the ostrich is beyond lush and I have been stroking it all day (I know, I am totally nuts)! Now I am not a girl who loves ostrich but this one was so sublime I had to have it! The steel gray serpentine color is also perfect for everything I own and it will go from season to season effortlessly.
I love the contemporary look of the River tote but the cutting edge design does not mean you have to sacrifice comfort. The straps fit over the shoulder so you can multi-task without worrying about your bag sliding off your arm. Every little detail was thought of, the interior pockets actually fit a Blackberry and/or iPhone/iPod plus it is made of the same sumptious ostrich (I don't think I know any other designer who uses exotic skin on the interior of their bags!) The geometric hardware complete this modern classic without adding any weight so you can carry all the things you need throughout the day or night(I walk around New York with a pair of ballet slippers in my bag and enough cosmetics for a whole chorus line. Actually the bag is ok.Looking at all the numerous materials and colors of the Sang A bags made me a bit doubtful though.I would like my bag to be unique and I´d find it hard to choose between so many variations of the same model and models.Surely the material is super and the quality is fine,but to me the price is a bit too high for all the reasons mentioned before.

I love Sang A! Her handbags are artistically beautiful and extraordinarily unique. Joseph at Sang A is the sweetest and nicest person. Sang is very personable and I absolutely love her creative designs that are uberchic and timeless. I am getting more Sang A handbags that's for sure.

Great job with this River tote! I love it. I want to let you know that Nuti (by Ilaria Nuti) has alligator handbags that use the same alligator skin on the interior of her alligator bags. For example, Nuti Alhambra in matt alligator, available in Neiman Marcus Beverly Hills ($10,950) has the interior pockets in the same alligator skin for IPhone/IPod and cel phone.

It's a beauty! I'm not normally an ostrich fan, but have been stalking this bag in both the serpentine and violet on her web site. Glad to see you snagged one! Also looking at the bone python version, but I'm concerned about the scales' fragility if slung over the shoulder, and of course the light color that might not last that long. What do you think?

Lady Jane, Nuti ostrich for 10k??? I'd rather get Sang A for $3490... they are more stylish. I find Nuti boring and shapeless...
Ever since I first saw the River Tote and your Sang A articles, I was smitten by her designs. I'm ready to hunt down the ostrich bag this second! Stunning. Thanks to you ladies and this fabulous site, bags have become my new passion. (How can you think of anything else?)!
