Every once in a while I come across a bag that transcends time and design. Something that is so unique that it is hard to find words to describe it. Such is the case when I saw the sleek wooden clutch from Ports 1961. The smooth texture of polished wood resembles that of baby calf leather until you pick it up and feel the rigid structure of the wood. This is a clutch that could have traveled through time from the 1800's or from the future- I can see it on the arm of Jane Austen or Princess Leia. Its timeless appeal is what attracts me most. Creative Director Cia Tibani embraces a global and new culture that associates high performance with modern luxury, comfort and design. This beautifully crafted clutch is made of American black walnut in brown and shaped into a smooth-edged hand clutch with wooden strap clasp at center. Perfect and elegant for any occasion. Ports 1961 Wooden Clutch measures 11" x 6", $630 at Vivre.com.

This is so unique. Would love to see it in person...
Interesting design. I think wood adds an interesting element to a bag.
I think this bag would best fit in the interior design department. Just picture this bag layed casually on some table or sofa . Great !
