Poppie Couture for Fall

Our favorite foldover clutches by darling Poppie Harris of Poppie Couture are now available in an array of Fall shades and skins! The best one is the exotic stingray in metallic, its glittery glamour is so chic for all occasions this season! Seen on celebs who buy the bags by the dozen, Poppie's delectable clutches are now available at Bergdorf Goodman. I love her bags for their versatility, a big clutch seamlessly takes me from lunch to cocktails and they are just so stylish! They are also amazingly easy to travel with as they pack flat and are extremely lightweight which is the new criteria for my travel items. (I am obsessed with changing my old habits of traveling with multiple bags and am determined to downscale to a carry on bag since the airlines can not be trusted with luggage! Well it's that or convince my husband I need a private jet in order to properly transport my bags and shoes.) You must go check out her collection at Bergdorf Goodman or puchase directly from her site. Metallic stingray foldover clutch $650.

  • I have this bag! I'm so happy to see it on Bag Snob. Diane Sawyer just got one too. Diane has it, bag snob reviews it...what more can I say...other than I have two of them and they are the best investment I have ever made. XoXo

  • Love the bag, love the price. Very yummy ideed.

  • You don't need a private jet, you need fedex and a nice concierge where you are staying. Pack everthing and send it ahead of you to arrive the same day as you. Give the concierge your tracking number ahead of time and have them sign for your package. Your 'luggage' will be waiting at your hotel.

Just imagine how lovely it would be to waltz through the airport with one carry on, then head to your hotel, thank the concierge, un pack your favorite shoes, pick up that darling clutch and go downstairs for a drink.

  • Bobbi- I have been using Fed Ex to ship my luggage ahead and back home for years and trust me, they are also not that reliable. I've had things arrive ripped open and ruined... And it takes months to deal with their insurance.

A G-V is definitely the answer (I like to keep my birkins Loubies close). My birthday is next week, my husband already has the wish list. :)

  • Hi! Sorry, but this clutch just does not touch me a bit.Something metallic against my bare arms sounds scratchy and itching to me.

  • bagsnob tina, when is your birthday? mine is next week too, the 22nd :D

  • Mette--that's because the bag looks like sandpaper. I'm not a fan, either.

  • mette- metallic does not equate scratchy. have you felt stingray skin?

it is quiet soft ! it's got a pebbly grainy texture but is not scratchy at all.

    love it.

  • I'm not a fan of the Poppie Couture foldover clutches, but this one in metallic stingray is seriously hot!

  • I love this bag. I think it is quite classy, and I am lovn' clutches right now. It must be a LEO thing. My bday is today. I should have known the bagsnob was a Leo. She says things in true Leo form. LOL!!! No bag for me this year, hubby said he is tired of buying me bags for my bday. I got a Cartier love bangle. I will con him out of a bag real soon though.

  • Despite all the comments of this bag,I still feel that it is an itching bag-not my style. But then again I am not the type of person who spends time on cocktail parties and late evening parties all the time. For me these kind of events happen only once in 1to 2 times a year.

  • I have been a big fan of the Poppie Clutches for a while now. Her fabrics are utterly chic and exceptional. The workmanship is precise and high-end. I don't remember a lunch or party when I've had a clutch where someone didn't compliment me on it.

For you gals confused about the stingray bags, the fabric is unique and modern, but in no way itchy! It's worth the trip to Bergdoff to check it out.

  • I saw poppie at a show and bought this metallic stingray bag. It's not only convient but looks like a piece of jewelry. It has the perfect amount of shimmer but also shows shades of natural and chocolate tones. It seriously is one of the nicest pieces I have bought in a long time. Best part, it packs flat so I have a luxurious bag choice with me at all times.
    Xo

  • I love it! :D

But then, I adore clutches in general (even though I'm a Piscean - which is the opposite of Leo, as my birthday is 6 months tomorrow!) and they make up the vast majority of my bag collection.

I also really like fish skins, as they are more environmentally friendly, less cruel and (in my opinion [and maybe because I'm a Piscean!]) more elegant than reptile skins.
