Christian Louboutin Bags

Now this is an interesting bag. But don't be fooled, interesting doesn't always mean nice or cool or a good idea. We of course love Christian Louboutin but based on the new line of bags, we say he better keep his day job as cobbler. This shiny asymmetrical clutch of studs and beads is industrial and unfeminine. Not to mention, unpractical. What the heck can you fit in there? You have to really strategize to get all your things in there and still yet it will be like some mind bending puzzle to get everything to fit. Unless of course you have an asymmetrical cell phone and asymmetrical wallet. You can get the matching Peep-Toe pumps if you want the head to toe robot look. This would be perfect for Victoria Beckham to finish off her already mechanical face and poses! Clutch for $1100 and pumps (which are awesome by itself) is $1325, both available at Saks.

Okay, maybe my coffee hasn't kicked in yet or something but... I like the bag and the shoes. I would just pair it with a very simple dress and not err into Victoria Beckham's territory.

Hilga:

love the shoes! the clutch is not so useful but if you are out and only need a lipgloss with you it'd be cute.

erica:

those shoes are stunning! what i'd wear them to, i have no idea. what i'd wear them with, i have no idea.

ying:

i like the clutch and the pumps and VB.

Anonymous:

The pumps are cute (the clutch not so much). I'd probably wear the pumps with jeans and a simple but soft, feminine top.

Ann:

From a distance the studs almost look like leather ruffles so to me there is something vaguely feminine about the bag. But the shape is highly impractical. What small hairbrush ever fits into this kind of slim bag? Ever notice how Gabriella on Desperate Housewives (not sure if Bag Snob approves her look) always carries a clutch? She does it with so much aplomb but her bags wouldn't get me through an hour of my day.

I love high heels but these Louboutins look particularly painful.

eclair:

I am not a fan of the clutch but I do love the shoes - they would look great on Tina!!!

nicola:

you should not give vb such a hard time, ithink she's cool

Noa:

Heya, I think the stud shoes look absolutely stunning! I've got Marc Jacobs shoes that are sorta similiar and they're gorgeous too(http://fashionoa.wordpress.com/2008/06/07/marc-jacobs-in-da-house-in-my-closet-to-be-exact/) and as for the clutches, I think Louboutin's come up with some pretty cool clutches too: http://bagnoa.wordpress.com
