I saw the Elvie by Alexander McQueen at Fred Segal in Santa Monica the other day and it stopped me in my tracks. It is the sleek and modern cousin of the now iconic Novak bag and I know it will show up on the arms of Kate and Madonna this season! It's got the same shape as the Novak without the boning and stiffness which makes it soft and easier to carry. It also comes in fire engine red patent leather which is the hottest color right now. The bag has a very futuristic vibe, the molded pleats are impeccably precise and the hardware polished perfectly, it reminds me of the Matrix (one of the all time greatest movies EVER!)- can't you see Trinity bouncing around kicking ass with this on her arm? $1,495 at Net-a-porter. love it!
It's a bit too futuristic for me and plastic -kie looking. Maybe if I see it in person and get a better feel for it.
I saw this in person the other day, the red is really cool.
Pretty. I still love my Novak, though. How big is this guy? The Novak holds a ton, even though it's so slim.
i have a LV bag, it names " i'm not a plastic bag"
I absolutely LOVE the red! It's a nice change from all the other black patent bags out there this season-and brings back childhood memories of candy apples!
very nice, especially in red.
I saw this bag in the store and was ready to make a mad dash for the register until I picked it up. It was freakishly heavy. Pass!
one would think he designed this bag for the adam's family brood :-)
