So here is Posh with one of my dream bags, the Hermes birkin in pink ostrich. Can you say jealous? I ordered the moon dress from RM by Roland Mouret in dove gray last week which I think is much more chic than her pink version so I don't envy her for that. However, the pink ostrich birkin is just what I need to go with my gray dress (I would never match it the way she did- pink on pink is no good unless you are a Barbie twin on a Playboy photo shoot). Ok ok, I am being bitchy because I REALLY.WANT.THAT.BAG but come on now, being so matchy matchy just lacks style and taste. Alright, fine, I'll be nice. Her sunglasse look very nice on her. There, my weekend random thoughts as I wait for my son to wake from his nap. Have a good one! (Kamo has a good point, Posh is known for her cheeky humour, this could be her "Hello America- I am your new Barbie statement.)

Gorgeous bag. I think she looks great. She can get away with the matchy-matchy look. She is kind of like a cartoon character. I love her!
I can't believe that this is the same person that claims to be a fashion guru and decided to give up her singing career because fashion is what she knows best....and then she puts together an outfit like that....I love the RM dress (I agree, NOT in pink) and I love the bag (who wouldn't), but together!!!!!I think she should consider just how much about fashion she really knows!
Oh my I agree Tina! Matchy matchy is a no-no!
I ´sure POSH is kind, nice women with great british wry sense of humour.
But her style is not effortless, it´s so clinical, maybe she has a stylist who picks the clothes for her ? There is no "je ne sais quoi". Maybe she tries too hard...
OK, on this one I'm going to cut Posh some slack.
She has got to be so excited to be starting a new life in sunny California, so she went pink instead of gray since she has GOT to be tired of dull grey skies.
Her sunglasses are finally apropos for daily wear.
So maybe she made a style slip with the matchy-matchy.
Give her a pass just this one time only!
Maria nailed it. Her look is very clinical. Posh is always perfectly "coiffed" but she lacks that "Je ne sais quois" and effortless chic.
And yes, I actually like her and admire her for raising three boys with limited help. She has said that with three kids so close in age (8, 4, and 2) it's more about crowd control than it is about parenting. Funny! Although of all the Spice Girls, she was least friendly to me when we hung out in Taiwan back in 1997. My favorite is Emma (Baby spice) just as sweet as can be!
In every picture I've seen, she always looks great! I would die to own that bag!!
EEWWWWW! PINK overload! Posh, I've never liked your fashion, but this is just too much! I'm sorry bag snob, but why do you want a bag with little flabs of skin on it?! I love the leather birkin, but the ostrich, NO WAY. stick to normal bags please!
to be honest i don't like Victoria, she has this "get out of my way, i'm fabulous" kind of look!
i like birkin bags, of course hehe, but that colour is not a favourite :(

We were at the airport when they arrived in LA. As if picking someone at the airport needs to be more hectic. I am annoyed with her already and she hasn't been here a week.
Oh no - way too much Pink for a grown lady!
Maybe she's doing a stepford wife impersonation?
Love the dress, but hate Posh's colour choice.
I have to say though - as much as she looks like a robot, i do kinda like her. At least we never get unwanted photos of her getting out of cars without underpants on like Britney!
normally i would hate this, but i'm kind of sensing a bit of irony to it, i.e. "i am your brand new american hyper-celebrity/barbie doll, bow down to me." taken that way, i think it's pretty brilliant. but maybe that's giving her too much credit?
i was just watching a video of her on the tonight show on youtube and she was SO cute! judging only from that, she actually might have a lovable personality. if the paps were always on my tail, i'd have the snotty/fabulous look, too. smiling would make you look like you're desperate for the attention or faking that you're happy. haha. my opinion anyway.
LOVE the bag, though! hate the outfit. the bag and outfit don't even match.
Mrs Beckham's shoes also feature on The Manolo's Shoe Blog. They're almost worse than the rest of the outfit.
Although I have zero respect for someone who has been quoted to say she's never read a book, damn her sunglasses-covered eyes for making me look at the RM preorder page on Net-A-Porter. I also blame the Mail on Sunday giving Roland Mouret really good coverage.
Doris, VB claims that she was misquoted when it was said that she had never read a book. Apparently what she actually said was she never had time to finish one because she had so much to do with her kids. If that's the case, I have some sympathy for her.
I don't know what all the fuss is about. I admit, I prefer contrasted colours over a monochromatic look, but honestly, I think she could have done a whole hell of a lot worse. I saw a full-length shot of her in the Ottawa Sun, and really, I can see no reason to complain. Her entire look is rather minimalistic: she's wearing a pink dress, pink bag, black sunglasses, and black shoes (and a bangle). There's no bargain bin junk jewelry, weird strings tied around her ankles, hideous head scarves, or other accoutrements so typical of the Shit Squad (or whatever it was that you Snobs called them: Lindsay, Nicole, Jessica, et al). She did what any fashionable person would have done: toned down the rest of her outfit to let the dress and bag shine. I like this look, and furthermore, would wear it. Just my $0.02.
i read in the l.a. times that posh got hers at an auction. i don't own any birkins but are these fuschia ostrich birkins hard to find? my friend in houston has the same exact pink ostrich birkin. her friend (also from houston) has the same bag. maybe their SAs in houston can get hold of one for you?
That purse is MAJOR!
that dress is pepto bismal pink, yuck. i like the gray version. but that bag.... outrageous and hot!
Hmm. I think she looks great. Maybe it's not her best look ever, but it does say "hello sunny California"... which is probably why she recently went blonde, too. She's trying to be American, and god knows there's plenty of blonde haired, nip/tucked, pink wearing ladies in LA. Posh is just reinventing herself for a day. ;)
I completely agree w/ Tina that the gray dress and pink Birkin would have been a striking and lovely combination. But, I found it funny that this month's "Harper's Bazaar" said that the "new hot thing" is matching your bag to your outfit, rather than matching/coordinating with some other accessory you're wearing. Coincidentally, in the same issue, but unrelated piece, they chose a pic of Lady Di sporting the look - jewel-toned turquoise evening dress with matching bag! I wonder how much more of this we'll see?
Just read an article about her; no stylist, surprise, surprise! She tries too hard and as a result always looks hard. I'd wear brown if I had that bag...LOVE IT! She said she collects Birkins and hopes to pass them on to her daughter one day, when she's lucky enough to have one. Lucky girl!
The British Empire came to an end, not when it lost India, or Hong Kong, but when "The Spice Girls" became it's best known ambassador around the world. Princess Diana had such tremendous style because her beauty radiated naturally from within. Even atrocious outfits and bad 80's hairdos couldn't deflect from her elegance and chic. She even looked glamorous traipsing through minefields. Posh just doesn't have "it." Her worst nightmare will be living in L.A. as I already read an incredulous quote from her about how "they sure dress down here." I grew up there, in Pasadena actually, and couldn't wait to move to New York, because I was always overdressed. She may wish she was back across the big pond when she finds out what a small one she's landed in. The sidewalks aren't paved with red carpet and I predict at some point after glossing magazine covers ad nauseum, she will look like a self absorbed pretentious wannabe.
I love posh...I think shes got great style, she always looks awesome! I personally am not a person that smiles a lot, its not that i'm a bitch, its just that if I smile then that means I mean it. I love pink too especially the pink of her dress it is gorgeous! Grey would be a little to boring for me and come to think of it...I hate the color grey...it reminds me of sweatpants!
Other than the fact her dress looks like someone used a garment to clean up a spill at the pepto bisthmol factory... the look is nice
