You all know we adore Joy Gryson and her urban chic line of bags so you won’t be surprised to hear that we ordered half a dozen bags while in her showroom last Spring in New York! We were like two crazy people grabbing at bags, boots(yes Gryson is offering boots for Fall!) and everything else we could get our hands on. The “Laura” tote was one of our favorites from the Fall line up; we ordered one in soft lilac and one in blue and I have no idea who is getting what but had I seen this grey one I would have snatched it too! It’s just such a great everyday tote to throw on without thought and you’ll look effortlessly chic no matter what you are wearing (unless you dress like Britney Spears in which case there is no bag in the world that can help you)
Besides the interesting use of stitching to create the illusion of a flap and other stylish details like the subtle multi straps that add a lot of style instead of detracting away from the cuteness of the bag, we also loved the multi pockets. Kelly was pregnant and was excited that she’d be able to use it as a diaper bag as the side pockets will fit a bottle perfectly (trust me, running around New York to multiple meetings during last March’s freezing weather with a pregnant woman was no walk in the park. If she wasn’t cold- I gave her my cashmere hat- she was hot and she kept wanting to fall asleep but being the trooper that she was, she kept up with our jam-packed schedule cuz she didn’t want to miss out on all the showroom visits! She even managed to accompany me to 60 Thompson and Buddha Bar at the end of our busy days so that I could get a proper cocktail even though I knew she was exhausted
