Check out these pre Fall Chanel bags, does it not look like Chanel is copying Marc Jacobs' interpretation of Chanel's own classic quilted bags? Knocking off those who copied you is not only reverse flattery (as Coco Chanel herself said, imitation is the highest form of flattery!), it's totally brilliant- why let them make all the money off your ideas right? Copy them right back! Way to go Karl! Check it out, black out the CC zipper pulls and clasps on the quilted doctor bag and it looks like a Marc Jacobs(excuse the photo shopping, clearly I am not a Tech Snob but I so enjoy amusing myself!). The bowler on the left is very casual chic, again a Marc Jacobs signature and very un-Chanel-y. So my advice for those of you with two grand to blow, spend it on Chanel. Love these bags! They are very similar to the casual interpretation of Marc's quilted bags but you can tell it's made so much better. I will definitely go with the Chanel too!

Hmm, nice try on the "reverse flattery", but this rendition has got nothing on MJ. Look at those stitches...they'll be coming out in no time, given Chanel's track record lately with quality control.

I agree I don't like this purse either, I like Marc Jacobs quilted ones better. It does look the stitches will be out soon because they didn't stitch it right. This bag actually looks kind of cheap. I love Chanel and we all know they can do better than this.

Last year I looked at the Marc Jacobs bags and said that if I want quilted, I will buy more Chanel. I still think that the original is the only way to go. Knock-offs cheapen the MJ brand.

I can get a bag that looks like that at Target for like $20. At Chanel, I will only shell out for a classic flap bag, or something that looks unique. Designers copying designers and then stamping high prices just doesn't make sense.
