Left: The "Rock" bag in red vinyl $1,195

It's the attack of the 80's at Chanel, check out the punk rockin' vinyl bags aptly named "The Rock"! I am not a fan of vinyl I have to admit the "Rock" bags are smokin' hot! It looks like distressed patent leather but is ultra lightweight and stains wipe off much more easily. Though I would never spend this much money on a plastic bag, I am sure there are animal activists and trendoids who will just for the Chanel factor. It comes in 3 sizes and multiple colors but I am really into this dark red, it is so Pat Benatar don't you agree?

Pocket in the City Bags in soft Caviar leather

I love the flexibility of soft leather but the durability of caviar leather is way more functional so I am really excited about the latest from the House of Chanel, "Pocket in the City" bags in soft Caviar leather! I am very drawn to this collection; full of hidden pockets and details, the bags are edgy and chic without losing the classic Chanel flavor. The small one in 27cm is $1,795, the middle one in 34cm is $2,650, and the large carryall in 32cmx23cm is $2,995. It comes in black, dark brown, and a divine dark gray. Call Alexis at Chanel Boutique to order! 214-520-1055

The 34cm bag ($2,650) is wider than the carryall but not as deep; it is more funky and young with a cargo feel to it, I also love all the compartments inside, it looks like a mini filing cabinet! A good argument to our CFO why Kelly and I need this bag, we are both senile and unorganized lately and often lose important things like checks sent to Bag Snob from advertisers.

The large carryall ($2,995) is really chic and I love the quilting detail at each side, it is subtle yet makes a very Chanel-y statement. You have no idea how many hidden pockets and compartments are in this bag! It is perfect for the obsessive compulsive organizer or a girl who has to hide her many shopping receipts from her hubby (I am not talking about me, my hubby sees everything I buy and rarely complains :).

All bags at Chanel Boutiques.

  • Very nice! Love all except for the Vinyl. Why pay $1000 + for a cheap looking bag?

  • Love Love Love the pocket in city bags! So the medium size is the one you recommend? I will call to order! What color is best?

  • I have got the red vinyl rock and love it so much. Yeah, it is expensive as a plastic bag, but very versatile and light. This is the lightest Chanel bag i have ever came across (yeah i have 10+ at home...)

  • hi i was wondering if anyone knows the price of the chanel shiny calfskin shopping bag or the large "cloudy effect" lambskin totebag, i really want to buy both but i dont even know the price...

  • I have a chance to nab the Chanel "The Rock" bag in black...yes or no? Anyone have thoughts on it? Thanks! XOXO
