I am still in New York, shopping and hanging out with girlfriends who live here and several who have flown in from LA and Miami. Shopping is serious business for us, we branch off on our own and meet up only to go off to the next store and start over again. We re-group at the end of each day to cap off our shopping expedition with a glass of champagne at Bergdorfs or Nobu to share our goodies and to gossip. (Is there anything more fun than shopping and gossiping with your girlfriends?) My favorite purchase so far (I am here for 10 days, give me more time and I'll have more favorites to share with you :) is a fabulous Valextra Boston bag in Nude patent leather purchased from Aggie at the Madison Ave. Barneys New York. Not only does it match my nude patent Louboutins perfectly, it matches everything else in my wardrobe! How can you go wrong with a gorgeous nude shade of patent leather? It's glossy but not too bright and has just a touch of glam. Nude can be blah in the wrong leather but in patent, it is sublime! Like my Melanzana Boston bag, it has an outer pocket to store cell and keys and a roomy interior pocket that spans from side to side. I am telling you, Valextra Boston bags are as addictive as Birkins, if not more so! The Valextra touch is evident from every angle of this flawless bag, the perfect stitching, the luxurious leather, and of course the meticulous workmanship. I feel polished when I carry it, even if I am still wearing my pajamas and running down 5th Ave after my toddler. At Barneys New York. Call Meeghan at Barneys Dallas 469-221-4700 or Aggie at Barneys Madison 212-826-8900. $1,750

P.S.(Yes, it has 4 square and perfect metal feet to protect it on the bottom!)
P.P.S(And yes, it is very light and very roomy)

  • How perfect! I think you've shown me my new secret-fantasy-lust bag. One question remains, though: does it have little metal feet? For me that is what would put it into the realm of the ideal.

  • very cute and very similar to the LV speedy in ivoire - i know epi leather is very durable but why not feet on the speedy??

  • Amazing bag! Really love it!

  • It's gorgeous!... Valextra has such classy and polished looking bags. I love them!!

  • This bag is gorgeous! Thanks for introducing me to this brand. I live in Hong Kong. Would like to know where the nearest location that sells Valextra bags is.

  • Beautiful bag. Is it heavy? I tend to pack my life into my day bag.

  • Ohhh...thanks for posting this. I'm just putting together a Valextra order and wasn't aware that patent was an option!

  • Love love that bag!!

  • I LOVE Valextra (as much as I love skinceuticals!). I just went to the Valextra boutique in Ginza (here in Tokyo), and fell in love with two bags!!! I may have to get both!!! Thanks for introducing.

  • that bag really is gorgeous. is it a hand/arm bag only?

  • Is this bag available in Asia? Is there a possibility to source this in HK or Singapore?

  • Valextra makes the most beautiful and classic bags. Quiet elegance is what they're all about. It's the ultimate "anti it-bag" for a woman of quality.

  • OMG I LOVE your Valextra!!!

  • There IS a Valextra boutique at the Landmark in Central Hongkong, and yes they have the boston bag ;)

  • For those of us who don't live in the NY or Dallas, TX area, where can we partake of the Valextra quality? I have been in LOVE with the Valextra line since the first Valextra case I saw for the Flybook subnotebooks a few years ago, but can't find out where to get them in Seattle or online. Thanks, and keep up the GREAT work!

  • I would love to own one of these handbags (Valextra) where can I purchase in Seattle, Washington?
