We've been drooling over crocodile bags for years and adore the recent influx of oversized clutches, so how perfect is the Nancy Gonzalez large crocodile clutch for us? For those who also love the look of exotics but not the high cost, here is a chance for you to get a piece of luxury for a very reasonable price. I love this bone colored crocodile clutch (also in espresso and black). It's something that can be used at luncheons, dinners, and everything in between. The soft bone color will also carry you into Fall and complement the lovely browns it inevitably brings. This is a generously sized clutch at 12.5" wide, one of the largest we've seen and definitely one of the most chic. We love the fuss free lines of this clutch, it allows the crocodile scales to stand out and really shine! Free two day shipping so you can receive it in time for Mother's Day with code FORMOM. $1,450 at Neiman Marcus

Your eyes are not deceiving you, this is all ONE bag! It is one of the most ingenius designs I have ever seen. The Convertible Bag by Alison Antrobus is a carryall made of butter soft black leather that converts to traincase for travel, a clutch, a satchel, and a shoulder bag, all rolled into one! It's not as pretty in design as some bags but the versatility of it makes up for what it lacks aesthetically! I need a bag like this, I carry my little jewelry case in my birkin when I travel and also have to pack a clutch for night, a shoulder bag, and multiple boxes to store my jewelry so they don't get crushed. With Antrobus's convertible bag, I have it all in one bag! At $1,250 it's also a bargain considering how many bags you get. I can not get over it, why didn't I think of this? At Vivre. Dimensions 15"x6"x10" with 8" drop.
We're bewildered by the style that many young stars have embraced recently, is dirty and frumpy is the new trend? Rachel Bilson is usually so perky and cute but today she looks like a haggard mother of five who hasn't slept or showered in days and has accidentally put on her three year old's jumper. Not that anyone should aspire to dress like the Slut Pack either but whatever happened to looking pretty? I'm not so crazy about the long fringes on her bag but it's the most attractive thing she's wearing. First person to guess the designer of her bag will receive an engraved Bag Snob bag hook! You guys should know the drill by now, leave your answers in comments and we'll announce the winner this afternoon.
UPDATE: Congratulations Julie Lim, you are the first to guess correctly, it's a Zac Posen. Your Bag Snob hook is on the way!

Continuing my addiction for all things dark blue (I just got a gorgeous dark blue and white Miu Miu dress that I have been wearing everywhere this spring!) is the Alina "Como" bag in dark blue alligator. Blue is as versatile as black but so much more lively! I loved the Como bag at first sight, it is one of the most interesting exotic bag designs I've seen. Combining modern functionality with classic alligator skin will make this a hit with both the young and not so young (meaning me and my grandma!). A lifelong passion for fashion led Alina Garcia and her younger sister Yamilia Halfon to create a line of timeless and chic exotic bags like the Como. Generously sized at 15 ½” W x10 ½” H x 6”, roughly the size of a 35cm birkin but without the $30k price tag. At $9,500, the Como is a real bargain! Alina bags available at 4510.
On a side note, I just received these adorable blue patent Joie Last Child Patent Leather Ballet Flats that I'll be wearing daily while introducing my son to the wonderful world of Disney in Florida next week. (A gift from my dear friend, the fabulous Shoe Goddess!)
May 3rd UPDATE: We have just been notified by the Anya Hindmarch team that after another sell-out launch in London through Sainsbury’s supermarket the online pre-order will be delayed. Originally the official US launch date for online pre-orders was 7th of May but this is going to be delayed due to the overwhelming reaction and response to the bags. They strongly advise you to register on the Anya Hindmarch website so they can keep you updated on when the bags will be available. The in-store launch remains on the 20th June in all 4 Anya Hindmarch stores as well as Fred Segal Flair and Ron Herman in LA.
As with all successful ventures, there will be naysayers and Anya Hindmarch has received recent pieces of press in the UK criticising her for having the bags made in China. As we have received enquiries about this we decided to speak to Anya directly to set the record straight.
From Anya:
“Our aim with this project has been to use our influence to make it fashionable not to use plastic bags. ‘I’m Not A Plastic Bag’ was designed to be a stylish, practical, reusable bag that would raise awareness of this issue and spark debate. We feel that we have achieved this aim beyond our wildest dreams. For more information about where the bags was made etc, please see our website.

Planning your summer weekend trips to a spa or beach resort? Look fabulous showing up wherever you go with this blue patent weekender from Zufi Alexander. This is the perfect summer getaway carryall with the always whimsical detail and overall sophistication that she is known for. Look at the cute shape, it is not your average boxy rectangle, the slight curves make it look like a star, just as you will when you pull up to the resort valet with it in tow. I am in love with the blue patent, it is THE color for Fall so consider this an investment as it will take you through the holidays. And it is now on sale at LuxCouture for $1050, down from $1400. Now all I have to decide is whether I want to do an all day spa treatment or just relax in the pool cabana.
Weird name? Striking resemblance to what Prada once was? This line was founded in 1963 by Gianni Mostile, who was a shoe snob (only handmade shoes, please) and a race car fanatic. They were acquire by Prada in 2001. Ahhh, now it all makes sense!! You may know Car Shoe for its signature nubbly rubber bottom moccasins ($345 at Bergdorf's). This bag makes me feel nostalgic for the good clean days of Prada. I love this bag for summer - there is no better compliment to natural canvas than brilliant orange and you are getting real luxury with the deerskin. And the quality is close to Prada so you are getting a bargain for $890. Some are calling this line the cheap Prada but there is nothing cheap about the quality and if they need a diffusion line with nice well priced bags so they can go nutty with the designs at Prada, then I'm all for it. The big brass plaque is a little big for me and you might say their logo with the car tire on it is a bit tacky but with the simple style and obvious quality, I find it to be a cute contrast to the otherwise grown up bag. At Bergdorf Goodman.
Jessica Alba celebrating her birthday with a shopping spree in Beverly Hills. So how do you think she looks? Snob or Slob? This is going to be a toughie, some of you may find the wide legged jeans and overall hippie casual vibe appealing. And some of you may find the Lhaso Apso she's toting around a tad bit ridiculous. Regardless of your fashion taste, I think you'll agree that Jessica Alba is one of the cutest girls in Hollywood! (Not to mention least annoying :) While you're at it, can anyone guess the bag she's carrying?

You are in fact looking at the same bag in its different forms. Talk about two bags for one, the Sasha from Botkier is like one of those toy robots that transform. The hobo style is great for running around with your hands full and when you take off the handle and tuck in the sides, it neatly becomes a fabulous tote. I love the loosely structured look and I really like that Botkier has moved on from the fringe dangling Trigger bag. For those who are looking to buy one bag and have it function for all occasions, this is THE perfect solution. Trust me, you can switch between the styles day after day for a week before anyone will realize you are using the same bag! There are three fabulous colors to choose from, black, brown, and light gray. And the price is amazing, at $695 you need no justifications. At Shop Bop
