Naomi Campbell, sentenced to 5 days of community service last week at the Department of Sanitation in NYC for beating her maid, carefully orchestrated daily outfits to maximize the PR exposure this opportunity offered her. The world watched with fascination as she showed up day after day in furs, diamonds, spike heels, and designer bags. She even ordered a sanitation cop to carry her crocodile bag on day 2~Now is this not the most ridiculous thing you've ever seen? (nice to know our tax dollars are being put to good use!) Campbell ended the week with a silver couture gown, sashaying to her matching silver rolls royce as if she were on a catwalk. She redeemed herself slightly after apologizing to Lt. John Fitzgerald and announcing her wardrobe for the week will be sold with proceeds being donated to the Nelson Mandela foundation. Can anyone guess the three bags shown in the photos above?
UPDATE: Check this out in the New York Daily News, these photos are rumored to be for W magazine's July issue! Steven Klein took these paparazzi style photos for the mag for publication.

Sanitation cop follows Campbell dutifully

After apologizing to sanitation cop and releasing him from bag duty, she rounds up a fellow community service worker to pick up the slack.

Ridiculous as she is, at least she had the sense to bring a spare pare of work boots for her toilet duty.

Her behavior is ridiculous, obnoxious and hardly worth mentioning.
Is that a variation of the Hermes HAC she's carrying?
I know for sure that the 3rd one is Hermes. Does anyone know the first one though? The croco one.
I thought that was the custom made hac for travelling. One of the Olsen twins has got the one in leather.
This girl's odd.
Well, she does look like the artist formerly known as Prince, doesn t she? Especially in the upper left photo
Even though Ms. Campbell's PR agent was hard at work to make sure that she was seen, I find it difficult to believe that she took any of this seriously. It would be great to know that celebrities who go foul of the law would understand that humility and acting contrite will always help the public believe that they are sorry about their actions. Turning the process of "community service" into a runway show does nothing to make me believe that Ms Campbell learned anything from the arrogance of her mistakes! Next time, Just cane her!
XOXO, HK
Is Bag No 2 a Gryson?
I have always admired Naomi Campbell, her sense of style, the apparent strength of character. At first I thought the accusations of maltreatment from persons who worked for her might have been wrought by a desire to blackmail her. After all, a person of international renown as she would still suffer heavily, whether such accusations are true or baseless. This recent behavior, however, which smacks of arrogance and self-promotion, has made me think. Even if viewed with a sense of humor and an insatiable lust for fashion, we can't deny that the attempt to wear fur and carry croc bags whilst doing community service reveals naomi is just plain rude, self-centered and clueless.
Calm down Naomi! (Is it true she was paid to wear these clothes for a publicity stunt?!) And I hate the new hair-cut (medium length would have looked sooo much better.) Is it really nessicary to wear fur and couture when cleaning? hmmm.....
She didn't get voted most hated person in the United Kingdom for nothing!
Also, what size is that Hermes HAC is she carrying? 80 cm?
Well...let's look at it from another point of view. As a model....supermodel for over twenty years, I have to say that realistically this IS her wardrobe and her way of dressing. All of her "dress down" clothes are most likely going to be "designer" any way. That's just her way of life and her wardrobe. Besides I think she was right to walk and present herself as always....as a supermodel, instead of changing to be what the press or paparazzi obviously wanted her to be...."drib and drab" as Naomi put it. Hell I would've gone down in style too. I wouldn't want to break my stride, because after all, had she walked in dressed like the general population or "dressed down", the press would still have something to say only it would be to their satisfaction....they'll be poking fun at her. Also, let's be serious....I don't think she actually worked in the clothes she walked in with. She most likely changed into a sanitation uniform or gear. You don't really think she would clean up in her designer clothes do you? :-)
