Francesco Biasia's latest version of the carry-all, go anywhere satchel is beyond fab. All the details - braided handles, croc stamped panels, hardware, outer pockets and fold-over flap are just the right touches to make this functional bag a real fashion statement. And it's the perfect size, at 10"x15" it is big enough for all your daily needs but not so giant that you can't go party the night away with it. And in gold metallic, what else would you be doing other pairing this with a hot dress for a hot date? At Forzieri $649.

Little ole Edie Beale never ceases to inspire and amuse. You cannot do the head scarf and the black-tights-I'm-not-wearing-pants look without admitting your source. (If you have not seen Grey Gardens, put it on your Netflix queue right now!). I am happy to see Stefano Pilati going back to the classic in this collection, although the all gray and black palette makes me think of the winter that I want to end right now. A little color for the cold weather doesn't hurt anyone. I appreciate the not so tight silhouette for us regular women who weigh in the 3 digits, but some pieces like the knotted fur, although interesting, is so bulky! I can't imagine not looking like you're wearing a sleeping bag in it. The bag collection is also very classic and I am in love with the bare detail croc in the most ladylike shape. The leather collection is shown open on the runway but on the streets, the simple classic will be neatly tucked away on the arms of uptown ladies.

Just a piece of useless (but entertaining) news bit for you while you're on your coffee break. A man in Switzerland faked this 2 page Gucci perfume ad and booked it with the Swiss weekly paper SonntagsZeitung. The best part of the story is that the $50,000 ad was billed to Gucci! As if Gucci's lawyers aren't up to their eyeballs trying to catch bag counterfeiters, they now have fame craving weirdos to go after. And I'm sure they appreciate us republishing this, too.
Would I be totally OCD if I got a bag to match my Bottega wallet? I am obsessed with this limited edition color (I want the make up bag too!), the pink just peeks through the distressed gold enough to cut the shine and it distracts attention from any stains you might get on it. I love this oversized clutch (almost 10 inches wide) with multiple compartments, you won't find this kind of functionality in most clutches plus the pyramid style allows you to keep bulkier things in it without ruining the shape of the bag. Did I mention how gorgeous this color is in person? It's also trimmed in pink which, as you may know by now, is my favorite color. The leather is pure Bottega, buttery soft, ultra durable and yes, utterly addictive. $1,100 at Net-a-porter.

A sure fire way to glam up a boring dress is with an exquisite evening bag. I am swooning over this beauty from Chanel with Coco's signature stars encrusted in crystals, you'll be the glittering center of attention wherever you go. The slinky long strap is making a comeback on evening bags and it's actually quite practical when you think about it. Clutches get in the way of cocktails and Hors d'œuvres (the reason we even attend parties right?) but a delicate and beautiful chain will allow us to drink and stuff ourselves silly.
