Phillip Lim 3.1 Fall 2007

I have not seen anything from the Fall '07 runways that have excited me as much as Phillip Lim's interpretation of the season. He's been a favorite of mine since he debuted his ultra stylish and very wearable 3.1 line a few seasons ago. I wear his clothes often, it's so easy to grab one of his cute little dresses or long gowns when I want to feel special! I purchased a fabulous dove grey full length gown from Barneys that is reminiscent of old Hollywood glam from Phillip's recent collection and I can not begin to describe to you how well each pleat and fold fits on my body. Everything is perfect about the 3.1 line, the look, the fit, and the best part, the affordable price point.

The Fall '07 Palette: Black, gray, neutral beige and ivory with shots of yellow, blue, and red.

The Fall '07 key looks: Tunics with eye catching belts, floaty ethereal frocks, layering fall's essential cropped jacket with menswear inspired shirts and bowties, (He says Grey's Garden, the documentary about Jackie O's off the wall aunt and cousin, was his inspiration)

  • Love this. That last red dress is my favorite I think.

  • I totally agree with the bag snob. I love that I can purchase a great dress for a few hundred dollars and looks like it costs thousands. I bought one from net-a-porter on your recommendation and my boyfriend loves it on me!

I also like the way you girls review runway fashion, some of the fashion reviews on other sites and in magazines are so tedious to read and hard to understand but you make it so easy to "get"! Thanks for breaking it all down and I can't wait to hear your take on the other shows.

  • He's one of my favourite designers these few seasons! Loads of floaty etheral looks that easily transform into every day wear. I'm just hoping that he'll come out with a men's line. The clean looks are fabulous, and the way he puts the outfits on the models are sensational!
