I have received a few emails regarding women passing themselves off as Bag Snob girls during Fall 2007 Fashion Week and am very amused over “Bag Snob” sighting stories from various friends. While we’re flattered that women were pretending to be us to get into shows and parties, we want to make it clear that neither Kelly nor myself was in New York this past week. We apologize if anyone was offended or traumatized by the imposters and hope to meet you in person during the Spring 2008 shows in September!

The Bag Snob Girls

Oh you are both beautiful!!!
Wow, you girls are beautiful!! Great skin too!!
Regular readers of the bag snob shouldn’t have been fooled by imposters. You posted several weeks ago, that Kelly was in Hawaii at a college friends wedding, and Tina had family obligations, that must have been hefty to miss fashion week.
Ergo, neither of you were in NYC.
Gee, how am I going to get into London Fashion Week now?? Brook , London
You’re gorgeous! How dare anyone pretend to be the Bag Snobs?
You girls should be so flattered. To be copied is the greatest complement. Knowing you both (Tina well and Kelly a little) you must be thrilled to be imitated. Shine on, ladies.
What can I say about this bag, it is not one of my favourites. But what makes a bag stand out from other bags, I will tell you. Comments from other women, do we read Bag Snob religiously and take every word to being cospel. No a bag is only a great bag if other women are jelous of you have THE BAG. This theory started when I was given a Bottega Veneta bag for my 40th by my adourable older friend, who has the most exquisite taste in absolutely everything. The school gates are the areas to look at side way glances from other mothers or eyes following you from the school playground to your car, you can actually feel their eyes burning into the back of you. I on the other had use my 2 Botega Veneta bags days in day out and always use an envelope style holder for all by bits and piece so I can easily change over bags in a second. Bags should be detailed but not to much, they should have some kind of individual marking not something big or tacky. Stiching is my thing and handles how they are connected to the bag what kind of metal clasp, or ring attaches the handle to the bag, also the pully on the zip. Yes, I am a snob when it comes to bags and I don’t care. I never go with the fashion never will. I like to have my own individual style that has carried me through my 30 and into my 40. Every one should remember that a bag designer is only as good as the last design it brought out. I must say I was not to pleased with B V silver circle design, but loyalty plays deep into the soul of a Bag Snot so of course I am still very loyal to them.
