I have one that has suede on the other side to prevent slippage, and the hanging part folds up so the whole thing is the size of a silver dollar. It slips into my change purse and works wonderfully.
What a great idea - would also come in handy if you wanted to hang grapes off a mantlepiece or a similar surface! Do let us know if it works for you please.

I remember my mother had something similar years ago. It had a rubber backing so the hook wouldn't slip off the table. Very clever and I'd been wondering where I could find one. Thanks Bagsnob!

I have several of these and they do not work for any of my favorite bags (birkins amongst them). The hook only works for my evening bags but then it's so heavy to carry in a small bag I end up not bringing it out with me.
I have one from Intuition, and it never holds my bag! Personally, I would strongly advise against these...
I ordered one yesterday and it arrived this morning. It works absolutely fine, so far. The underside of the weight has a stiff felt to keep it from sliding off the table edge and it's packed in a velvet pouch. Having had my bag stolen frpm a restaurant in Selfridges, I'm all for this
I ordered three of these, one for me and two as little "thank you" gifts for friends. The engraving (if you have them personalised) is nicely done. Seem capable of holding a reasonably well stuffed bag.

I just got my hook and was a bit skeptical that it would hold my huge bags but it does (even my miu miu coffer).

I can't believe anyone on here would say they don't like the purse hangers. They must not be buying any good ones, because I love em and they hold pretty heavy bags. I got mine on ebay and I just searched "purse hangers" and a ton of them came up (much less expensive than some of the websites I've seen). I got mine from a seller named 2007bwalter - it came really quick and w/ a cute gift bag. Anyhow, once I got it I put both my 5 pound weights in a bag and it worked just fine. I tried adding another 5, it held but looked like it would bend. So I'd say that the one I bought from this seller holds at least 10 pounds safely. I just think they're wonderful.
