Givenchy Clarabell Handbag

givenchybag.jpg

givenchybag3.jpgThe Givenchy Clarabell bag is not my usual style but I really like it. The big buckle threw me off at first but when I saw it in person at Barneys, I noticed the double flap over top (very chic!) and that the buckle is actually a magnetic enclosure (so convenient!). So you have the style of the buckle without the hassle of unbuckling when you want to get into the bag. I also love the beige distressed patent leather, it lends a lot of style to basic beige. Can’t you just see Kate Moss rockin’ this bag with her short shorts and a pair of scrunched up beige boots? $1025 at Barneys New York or 795 Euro at Luisaviaroma

Usually not a fan of patent leather but I like the distressed finish on this. The way it folds over reminds me of the Chanel Ultimate Soft Medium handbag. Very pretty.

  2. OMG!!! I love love this bag. I need it…gotta go… calling Barney’s as I type.

Now I just need a YSL Rive Gauche Ostrich tote

and the chocolate brown Downtown bag and I will be happy (for at least the next week or so) =)

  3. I love the style of the bag, and of course the magnetic enclosure is a BIG plus. But I haven’t quite caught on to the trend of patent leather yet. It’s not really my thing.

    Guys,

You really know your readers tastes & styles!!! Love, love this bag (Givenchy Clareball), now off to locate one in London. Thanks for another great tip!!

  5. Not my kind of style. But I really like the colour and the patent distressed leather.

If shiny patent is too much, try distressed patent. It’s mod yet not flashy. I picked up a pair of black patent distressed leather pumps from Tod’s last season. Not only am I loving it, been getting lots of compliments.
