My sweet friend Cat brought me a stack of magazines over the holidays and the minute I opened Vanity Fair and saw these Bottega ads I flipped out. She predicted she'd be reading about it in Bag Snob and she was right. I know I've often said I don't like to promote ads here but this is just so divine I had to share. Look at these fabulous Bottega bags and dresses! Tomas Maier is starting to rank up there with Elber and Miuccia for me. Do you not want to run to the Bottega store right now and buy them? I love the feminine silhouette of both dresses, as my friends would say, they are so ME! And the bags, pink woven leather strips of gorgeousness and lush gray crocodile, can you say mine mine mine? I am of the age where I only want to buy special pieces and these dresses and bags are special baby! The bags will be my staples this spring if I can get my hands on them and I will wear the dresses everywhere. Call Bottega Venetta stores 310-858-6533 or check their online boutique.

Nothing says sublime, non-pretentious chic than Bottega Venetta. So beautifully girlie. I maintain that every girl should, for her 16th birthday receive a pair of Manolo's, a diamond necklace, something Prada or Gucci and after seeing this ad, something Bottega Venetta!

Every girl should have a fairy godmother like you :)
lol - I'd have to be the male equivalent to that whatever it is... a wizard godfather I suppose ;o)
I just have standards for things and if a girl is to learn how to walk properly in heels, she must do it in the best.
I agree!! Did I happen to mention that *I'M* turning 16, and I'll take one in every color!! hehe!! Brook , London
Precisely my thoughts when I saw the BV ad in the mag. Couldnt stop staring at the dress and the bag. The bag. The bag. The prettiest shade of pink.
Brook,
I love fashion so much that seriously, catch me on on a good day and you will have one in every colour!!! Are you American by the way? If not, you've just adopted the US spelling of the word!

I find it interesting that you hated the box bags of Luella and Mulberry, but love the Bottega Venetta bags which are....... box shaped. I have a Luella Joni bag in black and brass studs which i love for its unique shape and style( i believe it was one of the first box shaped bags at the time), I also love the BV version. And the dresses are cute too.
I saw this ad today and noticed a lot of details on the dresses that I didn't pick up from the pictures that are posted. They really are pretty!
What a coincidence... I too fell in love when I saw the pink dress. Bottega Venetta is one of my favorite designers by far beause of pieces just like this. It's as if they plucked it from one of my dreams. Their designs are always sophisticated, feminine, & have incredible detail. I cannot wait to be able to afford to wear clothing such as this...it keeps me going.
