A New Way to Shop at Net A Porter

How considerate of Net-a-Porter to think of ways to simplify our online shopping experience. Check out the latest "Explore" page. You can view dozens of bags at once and click on the ones you like, similar bags to the one you chose will appear on the new page. Rollover the image of the bag you like to enlarge it, and click on the little icon next to it to see details and to purchase. It's absolutely brilliant and will save you hours each week to read Bag Snob! Have fun shopping!

If it weren't for this new feature, I michaelkors011807.jpgnever would have discovered this Michael Kors cream leather tote (will be a great beach bag for our upcoming trip to Hawaii). Sure it's a bit boring, but I'll take boring anyday over this 8 pound monstrosity. $795 at Net A Porter.

  • This technology is provided by a British company called Pixsta. We were approached by them late last year and are in negotiations. This is definitely web 2.0 for the fashion retail space.

  • I recently came across two sites which use similar technology which I believe is from UK based Pixsta. It is real cool stuff; 12,000 bags searchable by image on www.bagsta.com and 120,000 and something women shoes on www.ChezImelda.com site. I really liked the Imelda Marcos link on the shoe sites. Seems to be a cool crowd of guys running Pixsta.

  • UN-POST LINK IMMEDIATELY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Net-a-porter is already advertised enough. As a long-valued customer of net-a-porter it makes me sad now to see the progressiom that n.a.porter has made within the last year especially. Now instead of shopping leisurely and (almost) always being guaranteed that the specificed item would be in-stock (and in your size), now I feel like its a new boxing day sale each passing week. I havent been able to order the shoes (i.e: Louboutins) I've wanted for over 2 months!!! And being from Canada, there are few other options- Holts and nada. So lazy Americans get off ya butts and make the friggin walk to Barneys/Bendels/Bergdorf's whatever... lets us Torontonians get our weekly dose of fashionista style extraordinaire!!!!
