Labeled as the new kid on the block in the world of fashion, Fiona Kotur is anything but. A former designer at Ralph Lauren, she is also responsible for the success of Old Navy and Tory Burch (whom she met while working for Lauren). After moving to Hong Kong in 2002 she decided to start her own line of bags, aptly named Kotur. We adore this chocolate calfskin tote with golden hardware replicated after Chinese locks found on Ming Dynasty chests, what a creative way to combine classic Asian elements into this modern tote! The delicate gold shoulder chains adds glamour and lightens up the heaviness of a furry bag. Kotur’s collection has a wide range of price points from $250 – $1,500, guaranteeing an avid following from both high society princesses to working gals on a stringent budget. The calfskin tote is available at Vivre for $595. At this price point it won’t last long, get yours today!

Dear BagSnob – what do you think of chainstraps in general? Do you find them more uncomfortable than padded handles/straps?
Hi there,
I like chain straps in general, it dresses up a casual bag and is so classic. But it is uncomfortable when I use it on bare shoulders. Which is why I like the chain element on a fur bag cuz I wouldn’t use this in the summer, chain straps on sweaters or jackets are just as comfortable as padded handles/straps.
Best,
Bag Snob
