Gramercy bag in python $2190

Winner of Swarovski's Perry Ellis Award and a finalist in this year's CFDA/Vogue award, Devi Kroell is the designer du jour. From chic hobo sacks made of exotic skins to wooden clutches covered in crystals, Devi is on her way to becoming a household name in the ranks of Marc and Stella. Unlike most designers who want to stamp their names on everything, she eschews logos and prefers to let her innovative designs speak for themselves. We adore her line of luxurious bags, especially the Gramercy in python, it's flat so it fits under the arm without bulk and the mod buckle gives this classic shape a contemporary look. If you are in New York, you must check out her new store in the East Hamptons! 2 Main Street. 631-329-2700

  • Loved the devi kroell hobo - I am such a back fanatic - had to have it when it first came out - 3 years ago - sold out everywhere, barneys, bergdorf -etc. still had to have it so I contacted her number off the web - this was when she was operating out of her apartment in NYC - contacted her & she said to come down she had a few to sell - she could take credit cards etc - So excited - got the bag $2,400 at that time - one week later the handle fell off - needless to say theis was where my nightmare began - she would not fix, return, repair or do ANYTING for me - I purchased the bag from DEVI herself - she was rude and stuck up - she said I must have put too much in the bag - so it was my fault & I was responsible to find somewhere to fix it(the bag is sooooo gigantic & I had like a wallet, cell phone, chekc book & keys)
She would not return calls so I gave up - about 1 month later I was shopping in Bergdore & she happened to be there doing a trunk show - I approached her and began to talk to her about my issue - she told me to leave Bergdorf & how dare I come into that store to see - stated if I was not permitted to talk to her & if I did she would call security
I am a very good customer there & was sooo upset -
she is a rude, stuck up snob - her stupid broken unused bag sat in my closet forever - it is such a thorn in my sided - I wanted to make it known to whoever could listen
    Thank you
