We're not usually suckers for print ads but check out the latest fall campaign from Tod's, one of our favorite designers if you haven't noticed. Do you not want to dive in and live the Tod's lifestyle on the palazzo? This girl is so chic in her Derek Lam designed Tod's clothes and hip Tod's bags, but not in the trying too hard way, it looks so easy and effortless (and yes, I know she has a posse of stylists and make up/hair people). I also love how these Tod's bags pop out against the background, it's not colors you'd pick out at the store but it's a gorgeous contrast against fall's somber palette. It is so funny that you posted this. Just this morning, I was looking at this layout in W and thinking - I want to be her. I want her clothes, her hair, her lifestyle and her bags!
I like the design of the red "chopper" bag, and it looked so casual, yet classy... you're right, not in a "trying hard" way...
Question: Am I dreaming or did I see and AD for a Tod's bag in black Nylon with maybe some patent leather on it for this fall, even just a few weeks ago? I swear I did and have been looking all over for it, even in Italy and have not seen it anywhere. I didn't pay very close attention to the AD, thinking I would see it everywhere, as I have been seeing the Prada patent leather mary janes everywhere, which was also in this mag and no, I have no idea where i read it. Please help! I am in desperate need of a black fall bag and i am sick of everything I see b/c they all look the same and this nylon one though maybe not the coolest of fabrics, looked smart and classy. I swear!! and btw - really love your site!
