We have not participated in the Carnivale of Couture in a while and thought it’d be fun to jump back in to see what’s happenin with our fellow bloggers. This week’s topic is from Butterfly blogspot: Have you ever worn or not worn a certain something that was probably not the smartest thing to do but you did it anyway for the sake of fashion?
Well, duh, I was a teenager in the ’80s and wore embarassing outfits on a daily basis, didn’t the rest of the world?
While most of my outfits did not cause bodily harm, many were horrendous and unflattering. Like stirrup pants, whoever invented those dumb things should be shot. I remember buying my first pair of stirrup pants, in WHITE no less, I wore it with a pink flashdance insipred sweatshirt with mint green trim, and a pair of pink jelly shoes. Talk about uncomfortable, I spent all day pulling down my sweatshirt to make sure I had the sexy flashdance slant, pulling up my stirrup pants that fell off my hips with every step, and sweating in my jelly shoes. I never felt more fabulous yet uncomfortable in my entire teeange life. Had I any sense I probably would have stopped wearing it but of course I had no sense as I was fifteen and this became my favorite outfit.

Did I miss another meeting?
Did this question come out of “Teen Beat” magazine? I must be too far removed from the fashion bonding experience that comes from answering these insipid inquiries. Opps, My bad.

Oh, that is so good!! Thanks for reminding me =)
The funny thing is that people wore THOSE shoes (Chuck’s) with THAT dress (pink, shiny prom dress) – ha ha
