Cannes Red Carpet Ride

I really did try to find the fabulously dressed but the usuals like Halle Barry were wearing such boring black not-worth-mentioning dresses. But isn't it so much more fun pointing out the dreadfully styled?

Avril Lavigne in vintage Armani at the screening of Over the Hedge. Can you say, "Beetlejuice, beetlejuice, bettlejuice!"?

Is this our cute Andie MacDowell (at the Premier of The Da Vinci Code) or is this her haggardly aunt Andie MacDowdy?

audreytatou.jpg
Audrey Tatou at the premier of The Da Vinci Code. She's wearing a toga right? A toga that she made herself? (actually, it is a Balmain dress.) But she is wearing fabulous Pierre Hardy sandals that we love! They are available at Barney's in Beverly Hills and New York as well as the Neiman Marcus in Beverly Hills.

Eva Herzigova at the premier of The Da Vinci Code. She has a super hot bod and I don't blame her for showing it off, but you still have to think about things like style and taste.

Sarah Michelle Geller at the screening of Southland Tales. She is oh-so-scary. Is she impersonating Joan Collins?

Best Dressed

One of the best dressed is Virginie Ledoyen, who is a sexy young French actress. This look is so refreshing especially on a red carpet. We love the dressed down look for Cannes because it is after all a beach city. We predict we will be seeing a lot more of her.

The best dressed goes to Beyonce who was at the screening for Dreamgirls. The blue print dress with gold trim was designed by her mom, Tina Knowles. Who knew the Snobs would approve of something not straight out of a french couturier.

  • Ewwwwwwwww, what happened to Andie Mcdowell? Someone please send her a double double from In-n-out. She needs to eat.

  • Why does everyone care about Avril all of a sudden? She hasen't released any new music recently and her whole teen angst thing was never easy for me to take anyway. Sure she did a voice for an animated character in over the hedge, but how does that make her important?? She dyes her hair blonde and all of a sudden people care?? That girl has always bothered me. Thank goodness she still has horrible taste in clothing because if she looked nice I would start to worry.

  • I really think the best dressed and best looking celeb has to be the Indian actress Aishwarya Rai ( i hope i've got the name right!). this woman was simply THE BEST!!!everything about her from head to toe just rocked! i don't really know much about indian movies but if it has people like her then iam definitely gonna take an interest! just see some pics of her at cannes and u'll know what i mean

  • ms. rai's (is that her last name?) dress sense is awful! i don't think she looked nice at all what with all those ruffles on that already complicated black dress. the only thing that i found interesting was her diammond and sapphire "serpent" necklace when she was wearing that blue gown. i actually found a lot of her facial expressions a little vulgar.
anyway, the author of this article, making fun of audrey tatou's dress sense should take a lesson in haute couture and avante-garde fashion. i thought her dress was fashionable, refreshingly simple and perfect for cannes. if viginie ledoyen's outfit (which i wasn't crazy for) was perfect for cannes, then tatou's was no less. or maybe i'm just partial to "togas" designed by balmain.

  • Beyonce's dress is so beautiful............i wish i could get dat 4 my prom......
